Do you really need a car that can go from 0 - 60 MPH in under 3 seconds?

It has been in the "works" for over 50 years.  The mid-engine sports car is not a new idea it’s just new to Chevrolet. The C7 platform or current Stingray had no room left for adjustments to improve the track performance as a production vehicle.  The naturally aspirated engine just couldn't be tweaked anymore to produce more horsepower in the front engine configuration.  Now, the 2020 C8 places the engine just a few inches away from where the power meets the road.  The air intake, the radiator placement, the exhaust location all had to be changed to add more horsepower.

The new 8 speed automatic transmission is the only transmission available and will provide a well-balanced sporty experience with an improved torque of almost 500 ft-lbs. Chevrolet debuted the long awaited C8 in California.  The hype became real as a red C8 drove onto the stage with the well know rumble of the Z51 exhaust. Corvette engineers did a fantastic job of keeping the look and storage space.

Rumor has it that the new C8 does 0-60 in under 3 seconds and while most Corvette owners don't 'need' to go that fast it's nice to know you have the potential.

Production for the new C8 is scheduled to begin in December which gives plenty of time to do your research.  Pricing for this beauty sill start at $59,995.  We will have two employees going to the Ron Fellows Driving School to learn how to maximize performance on the C8 this fall.  For more information or updates on allocations contact Mike Stephens at mstephens@donhewlett.com.  Stay tuned for more updates on this exciting vehicle.
